2008/01/22-05/30: Syncopated introduces a new annual competition and free award for Austin-area developers and hosts of W3C-compliant Web sites. The first annual award is tentatively scheduled to be given in late 2008.

Texas Renaissance Festival

2008/10/11-11/30: The annual Texas Renaissance Festival, "the nation's largest, most acclaimed renaissance theme park", is held – rain or shine – for eight consecutive individually-themed weekends at 21778 F.M. 1774 Plantersville, TX 77363-7722.

Unfortunately, its Web site is inaccessible without a Flash player and fast network connection, and obviously violates the Americans with Disabilities Act.
